I use many components of Responsive classroom. However one of my largest divergences is the development of classroom rules. I prefer to teach, justify and agree upon my classroom rules as oppose to developing the rules with the class.
I have used these rules successfully for the past eight years.
My Classroom Rules
- Listen to appropriate speaker
- Follow direction quickly
- Raise your hand to walk or talk
- Respect others, respect myself, respect my school
- Make Smart Choices
